November Online Coffee Morning, Gothic Coasts

November 4, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 11:45 pm

Join our November coffee morning for informal conversation about heritage and tourism across the port towns. The coffee morning will take place on Thursday November 4 at 11am.

We’ll have a suitably spooky theme for just after Halloween: ‘Gothic Coasts’. Project team members Prof Claire Connolly and Dr Rita Singer will share stories and folklore from the coasts of Ireland and Wales respectively.

And they’ll lead a discussion on how gothic stories might be used to form tourism initiatives.

To whet your appetite ahead of the coffee morning, take a look at ‘Strange Stories in Rosslare’ on our site: https://portspastpresent.eu/items/show/459.

Email aoife.dowling@ucc.ie for a Zoom link, or access it via our Slack network space, which you can join here: https://join.slack.com/t/portspastpres/shared_invite/zt-pvl7zqgj-DUnF4q8IGqLfbYbgX9x9qQ]. All welcome!
