Dublin Talk: Rebels and Refugees: Irish Sea Crossings during the 1798 Rebellion
August 17 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Professor Mary-Ann Constantine of the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies looks at the stories of some of those who crossed the sea to Wales during the turbulent period of the 1798 Uprising. Some were rebels escaping reprisal; others simply fleeing from violence.
This is just one of the events being held throughout Heritage Week in Dublin. Highlights of the programme include an exhibition in the Liffey Corner Room, CHQ, and an exhibition launch on Tuesday 16 August.
